Chinese New Year Eve

Today is reunion dinner with Ah Tai, Gong Gong, Por Por, Yi yi, Dai Jiu and Xiao Jiu.

Sheneice all dressed up to go with all her accessories... Hahaha... Vainpot.

My MIL said she looked like "Ne Zha".

This is the last year we will be celebrating CNY in this first house of ours. We definitely must decorated our house for the festival since it's the last year.

Again, we wore red to match Sheneice.

Daddy "lo" for all his wishes will come true, Mummy "lo" for Sheneice's health and happiness, Sheneice "lo" for more toys and fun.

After the reunion dinner with my family, we went back to Ah Ma's house for another round of steamboat though we already had reunion dinner the day before. Daddy was too full to eat anymore, I continued to eat on while Sheneice played with her cousins in the room.

1st Reunion Dinner

We had an early reunion dinner with Nam's side of family this year. It was at a chinese restaurant in Miramar Hotel on 27.01.06 where my brother-in-law booked a room with 2 tables and a karaoke system. Serving was generous but the best thing is there's no need to clean up after that.

It is definitely not easy to take photos with toddlers. First, they don't listen to instructions. By the time all are ready, Sheneice is distracted already.

To mark the end of our 1st reunion dinner this year

Pre-molar tooth coming out

Poor thing lor... Right after Sheneice recovered from her sore throat, her pre-molar tooth starts to erupt. Her gums are red and swollen which caused her to be super irritated. Since her birth, this is the worst time, she can cry for 3 whole hours complaining "pain pain". She cried herself to sleep and when she's awake, she will cry again until she sleep again. The routine just continued on.

Brought her to her own pd, was given Ibuprofen to stop her pain. However, it didn't really help until Granny uses her traditional method. She pushed her finger with cotton wool into Sheneice's mouth and gently rubbed it with a solution she always use to clean Sheneice's mouth. It works!!!! What a relief!

Well, she's getting better and the mischevious side of her comes back. Sheneice likes to paste stickers all over people's face. Yesterday, she did the same to Kolis.

Kolis: "Sheneice, Kakak mei mei or not?"
Sheneice: "Ugly!"

Sigh...

1st Sore Throat or is it Throat Infection?

My princess is sick again. She was having running nose last Sunday and the careless parents of hers still brought her for a swim at Little Gugu's house. She did enjoyed it very very much but she was shivering when Daddy carried her out of the pool. We rushed back to Little Gugu's house and soaked her in warm water in the tub. She continued playing in the tub for a good 30 mins.

Yesterday, her nose was still running and I felt that she's abit warm. Kolis told me she took Sheneice's temperature in the afternoon and it was 37.9 degree. Nam and I decided to bring her to see the GP again. The GP must be surprised to see us so soon, he said (sort of in a sigh): "What happened?" The GP said her throat is abit red and needs antibiotics this time. I hate to give her antibiotics. Her fever has been yo-yoing up and down today which was as predicted by the GP and will go on for another 2 days.

Since this is her 1st Sore Throat/Throat Infection, think she will need a longer time to recover as her body is still foreign to the new invader. I'm trying to keep a close tab on her fever though I'm at work, can't let it shoot too high. But I'm also quite sure Kolis will do a good job looking after Sheneice.

My princess, don't let Daddy and Mummy wait too long to see your happy self again, ok?

Emotional Development

Sorry... Spiders webs are now all over my blog already. It has been weeks since I last blogged. I have been kept busy by Sheneice and work.

Sheneice is so attached to me lately that I can't even get a breather. Sigh... Age is really catching up with me. However, I actually love the affection and attention that she's showering me, this means I am important to her. So sweet... I like...

As Daddy is busy with his new job and do not have much time with Sheneice, for the past few days, Sheneice don't seem to like Daddy alot and is shooing Daddy off. That really upsets Daddy very much.


Sheneice refused to be carried by Daddy. Poor Daddy.

However, after one night of story-telling, Daddy is back to Sheneice's List of Favourite People. Sheneice woke up at 1+ am one night and refused to go back to sleep. Daddy actually carried Sheneice and walked up and down the whole house, told her 3 stories, prepared and feed her 3 am milk and patted her back to sleep, all done single-handedly. Daddy only went back to sleep at 4+ am but got up at 9 am to send Mummy to work.

Lately this girl of mine just love to throw tantrums, she refused to get out of her bath and refused to get dressed. When she don't get her way, she will scream, cry and throw her head backwards. We just have to distract her attention real fast before she gets out of hand. I wonder if this is just a phase, if not, this girl is going to be a challenge.

Nevertheless, no matter how difficult it is, she never fail to melt our hearts.
