All are sick

Nam was suffering from stomach flu when he came back from Genting last week. Whatever he eats, he threw everything out, was given MC for 2 days. While I was suffering from cough and sore throat, coughing non-stop like contracting TB like that... However, when we're getting better, Sheneice is down with a fever at its highest of 38.6 degree. She has the combination of nam's and my symptoms.. She was coughing slightly and also threw up everything that goes in, to make things worse, she also have fever... poor baby. She must have got it from us.

Yesterday, she was still fine and we were still preparing her to bring her out for shopping.

She's usually quite a tough baby, she didn't even quiver abit when the pd gives her the periodic vaccination... This morning, when she woke up, she was whining away. It has have been real uncomfortable and terrible for her. She had 2/3 bouts of fevers since she was born, the worst was when she's 6 months old when a roseola broke out towards her recovery. Eversince then, even if she's ill, she's still quite ok and was a easy baby. But this morning, she was such a poor baby crying away complaining of her miscomfort.

We took her to the doctor early in the morning and the doctor said she can't take diary product including milk today. But isn't a baby's main diet consists of milk? So the doctor said: "ok then, only milk at half strength". She was given suppository to stop her vomiting. After the suppository, she came back and slept for an hour or so. When she woke up, she was a happy baby again and she even managed to finish a small bowl of porridge while she usually finishes 1 big bowl of porridge though. We also gave her some honey and she demanded some food from my mother-in-law when she sees my mother-in-law taking her lunch. We gave her a small bowl of soup, she's also ok with it and didn't throw out any of it. That's a good sign. After her lunch, I showered her and she wanted to nap again.

After taking another round of medication, she really looked better. We let her watch her favourite Barney, she had block game with Daddy and we played soccer together. However, after awhile, her medication was taking effect and she's turning real drowsy so nap again.

Genting Trip - 11/11/05 to 13/11/05

We just came back from Genting Trip on Sunday, we went with nam's side of family namely my mother-in-law, his elder sis and the 2 nieces and his cousin and family. We had to set off as early as 6.30 am on Friday morning. At first I thought Sheneice will have to go in her pyjamas, but maybe she knew that we're going on a trip, when I finished my shower at about 5.30 am, she showed signs that she was about to wake up so I didn't bother to pat her back to sleep and let her wake up naturally... Though it's just a short trip, but our luggage was a big one... Well, since we're bringing Sheneice, we just had to bring everything...

The journey was a long one. Finally, we reached Genting at 2 pm and checked into First World Hotel. The hotel room was reallllll small and they don't have a bath-tub. So Nam have to carry Sheneice in his arm while I showered her. One good thing about our room is that it faces the theme park, I heard some of rooms actually faces the wall... Though the hotel room was quite a let down, the kiddy rides made the trip all worthwhile. Sheneice enjoyed herself so much that even when she was super tired and was already dozing off, she was still saying "play play". Sigh... what a playful baby!

The moment we put down our luggage in the hotel room, we wasted no time and quickly went down to explore the First World Plaza. We bought the all park ticket for the 2 days and covered the rides in the indoor theme park on the 1st day. On the 2nd day, we covered the outdoor theme park. However, there are still quite a number of rides that are not suitable for Sheneice. So Genting, we'll be back for more when Sheneice is older.

We checked out of the hotel at 12 pm on Sunday and again it's a long journey home. We were all beat tired when we reached home at about 11 pm (luckily both Nam and I took leave for Monday as well). Meanwhile, enjoy some of the photos we took during the trip.

This is taken in our hotel room.

Finally, I'm able to post something on the blog.

Has been motivated by a friend's blog to start a blog of my own to mark the days of my growing baby...
