A trip to the Beach

We went to the Palawan Beach with Nai Nai, Gugu and 2nd Gugu today. Daddy was not able to join us so we have to trouble Uncle Kiam Seong to fetch and send us home instead.

Building sand castles

There was a canoe just next to where we rest

Burying Sheneice's feet in the sand

Since we were at the beach, I thought why not let Sheneice try playing along the seaside and she love it!

1st attempt.

2nd attempt. We got bolder and went deeper into the sea.

A huge wave came and swept Sheneice up thus sending some sand and water into her mouth, we went up to clean up. I was afraid that it will be too overwhelming for her as it was her 1st attempt, so I asked if she wants to continue with playing or to go shower, she chose to shower. When we were on our way to the shower area, there was jet fountain that attracted her attention.

After shower, 2nd Gugu would like to try the bridge on the Palawan Beach and see where it will lead us to. Off we go!

Taken before the "Palawan Bridge"

Sheneice was knocked out after our visit to the Palawan Bridge. The rest went for a ride on the chair lift while Nai Nai and us rested at the Coffee Bean Cafe.

As it was a rather tiring day for Sheneice and Mummy, we decided to calm things down by reading some books.

She's totally burnt, blame Mummy for bringing the sunscreen but forgot to apply for her. Mummy is getting old!

Nai Nai's 56th Birthday

Last Sunday, we celebrated Nai Nai's 56th birthday in 2nd Gugu's house. It was a potluck session where every household had to prepare 2 items for the celebration. As our fridge had already "RIP", we chose to buy the birthday cake and to prepare salad.

Shopping for the salad ingredients to prepare in 2nd Gugu's house

While the adults were yakking at the dining table, the kids were having such great time playing among themselves.

2nd Lunar Birthday

Yesterday was Sheneice's 2nd Lunar Birthday, we didn't know until Nai Nai called and told us about it as we don't keep track of the lunar calendar.

Cheeky Sheneice

Before we knew that it was Sheneice's birthday, we had intended to shop for a fridge for our new home, we still went as planned.

Saw a kiddy ride while walking, therefore...

Daddy needed to buy some stationery at Popular and we also bought a set of books for Sheneice. Sheneice likes to read recently, hopefully it maintains that way.

We had dinner at Cafe Cartel. Coincidentally, Sheneice's 1st Lunar Birthday was also celebrated in the same Cafe Cartel with Yiyi. This time, it was just a mini family celebration.

We ordered mashed potato for Sheneice,

but she was more interested in the spicy pasta which I was having,

and ended up drinking lots and lots of water. Stubborn Sheneice.

Sharing with Mummy

What's a birthday celebration without a cake?

Cake cutting

Sheneice blowing the candle again and again

See, this pair is always so mischevious.

First, they made funny faces at Mummy (cannot take photos properly!)

Then they cannot walk properly!

But since it was her lunar birthday, everything was forgiven. :D

You Love Us

You're still so young and you can't express yourself that well yet. But your little action tells us that you love us.

Scenario 1

Mummy caught you and Daddy doing somersaults on the bed one evening. I was petrified that you might hurt your neck, I immediately stopped you from continuing. I asked you if I can scold Daddy for teaching you such dangerous stunts, you said "NOoooo...".

Scenario 2

We were all lazing on the bed when Daddy and you suddenly starts to bite Mummy. Mummy screamed for help and that prompted the 2 of you to bite further. After a few rounds, you suddenly stopped Daddy for biting Mummy. Daddy tried again and you pushed Daddy's head away.

On many occasions, you will suddenly hug us or you will give us a squeeze. I think all these little little actions of yours shows that you love us. Of course, Daddy and Mummy love you too.

2nd Trip to the Zoo

We took leave today to fulfill our promise to Sheneice, that is to bring her to the Zoo. We were all so excited about the trip cos this time round, Sheneice should be able to recognise most of the animals.

Taken after the entrance of the zoo.

The first animals we saw were the flamingoes, immediately Sheneice lifted one of her leg and stood like one.

After that, we covered the polar bear, rhinos, zebras and giraffes.

Saw the lions and this pair started roaring like one. :D

Into the cat country where we saw the leopard and jaguar.

We stopped for a rest as it was Sheneice's milk time. However, I think her heart and mind were already elsewhere, her milk was left untouched. So we gave her some whipped potato instead.

These 2 are always full of mischief.

After meal, we had fun at the playground.

The short rest had made us lazier, we decided to stop walking and took the tram instead.

We stopped near the Elephants of Asia and off we went to see the elephants.

We continued on and saw the kangaroos, ostrich and the white tiger.

Mummy is a hygiene freak

Still can't get over the flamingoes??

More photos.

We ended our day at Ben & Jerry.

Last few before we hit the sack.

It was indeed a tiring day for all of us. I didn't have to spend much time coaxing Sheneice to sleep when it was her bedtime, she fell asleep in just 15 mins. Next, we shall go for a pinic.
