Ah Tai's birthday

My paternal family hardly get together except for CNY. Today everybody turned up at Qian Xi Restaurant to celebrate my granny's 78th birthday.

The Birthday "Girl". Sheneice's great-grandmother, she got to call her "Ah Tai".

My father's side of family is actually quite small. My granny only has 2 kids, my dad and my aunt. Actually she also has a godson but as we're not very close to them so my dad did not invite them.

Though it's my granny's birthday, but somebody stole all the limelight.

My elder brother is not in the family picture. Luckily I took a photo of him with my granny before he left.

Sheneice is gradually recovering from her stomach wind and is not vomitting anymore. We're just so happy to see her back to her bubbly self.

Sheneice is sick

In the spirit of Christmas, my office is officially closed till next year. However, I decided to go back for few hours to clear some of my things.

Halfway through, I received a call from my mother-in-law saying that Sheneice is not well and had already vomitted twice already. I rushed back to bring her to see doctor. Wanted to bring her to see her own pd but her appointments are full until 6:15 pm. Nevertheless, I made the appointment.

Shortly after, she is throwing up every 15 mins. I couldn't wait till 6:15 pm, I brought her to the GP downstairs. Other than her own pd, this is the other only doctor that she sees. The GP said she had too much wind in her stomach (the same illness as the last time) and given suppository to stop her vomitting. Again, no solids is allowed until 8 hours later provided she no longer vomit. Meanwhile, only liquid i.e. glucose, barley, rice water or milk at half strength are allowed.

She's very tired after all these vomitting and is now napping. And I'm here blogging while staying by her side. It hurts me to see her going through all these.

X'mas 2005

This year passes real fast, happy times are always faster, I feel. It's the seasons of giving and sharing again.

On 23/12/05

This year, the first present was from Yiyi. Sheneice must have been persuading Yiyi to buy a nice dress for her this X'mas, they had such a nice pillow talk.

As requested, the always obliging and sweet Yiyi gave

Yiyi top it up with 2 sets of matching hairclips and 2 sets of stickers. Sheneice is a rather impatient individual. She opened up 1 set of the sticker the next morning and paste it all over the bedroom door before I can take picture of it. That explains only 1 set of sticker in the picture.

Yiyi also gave Daddy and Mummy presents :P

On 24/12/05

Daddy had to work on X'mas eve so I brought Sheneice to the nearby Bugis Junction for a walk just to get the atmosphere of X'mas. It's usually a family thing when we go shopping and this time without Daddy's presence, Sheneice is rather uneasy and lost, she kept asking for Daddy.

When Daddy is back, Sheneice was already sound asleep. Daddy and Mummy went for a spin and supper after that.

Sheneice, Daddy misses you and was apologetic that he can't accompany you on the X'mas eve. Daddy will surely be celebrating the next X'mas eve with you.

On 25/12/05

Every year without fail, X'mas celebration will be held in 2nd Gugu's house.

Last year, the Santa Claus was Tua Pey. This year is Daddy's turn.

Little Sheneice with new dresses

Little Sheneice is so little that she can actually still wear some of her clothes since she was 4 months old. However, these clothes of hers has become like "giam chai" already.

Nam has resigned from his present company and is now serving his notice at home. He'll start his new job at Carl's Junior in Jan 2006 with better prospect. While he's idling at home, he can probably spend some quality time with Sheneice. Think they are really having a good time:-
