Bangkok Trip - Day 1 and 2

Should have posted on our Bangkok Trip earlier but I was having problems in uploading my photos, thus the delay.

We left for Bangkok with Daddy's side of the family on 10/03/06. We've squeezed all of our stuff into a luggage and deposited the slow cooker in Granny's luggage as we predicted that it will not be just a luggage back. :P

I was paranoid over the ear pressure that Sheneice will experience. As advised by the pd, we let Sheneice suckle on her milk bottle in order to equalise the pressure. We filled her bottle with mango juice to get her interested in suckling. Thankfully, Sheneice had no problem with the taking off and was soon fast asleep. She woke up just in time before the landing and again, we let her suckle on the bottle and had a smooth landing.

We arrived at the Bangkok Airport 15 mins earlier than the scheduled time.

We stayed at a serviced apartment named "The Regent Silom" situated at Silom. A very convenient place, the BTS (MRT) is just downstairs, Patpong is just a street away and the pasar malam at the foot of our apartment stretches all the way to Patpong.

Our apartment for our 7 days stay in Bangkok

After we have settled our luggage in the apartment, we went to a shopping centre just opposite our apartment for dinner.

Our 1st meal after we reached Bangkok and it got us hunger for more, especially the huge bowl of lobster noodle. Simply delicious... A slogan has to be shouted by the servers while they serve the lobster noodle to our table. We all had a shock when we first heard them shout, we thought a fight had started. :p

After dinner, we brought Sheneice back to the apartment to rest as it's going to be a long day tomorrow.

We had breakfast at this cafe with a cute name "Bees and Bugs", that explains the bee behind Sheneice.

Sheneice had a hearty breakfast with Cousin Cleo

Off we go! First, we went to pay respect to the famous 4-faced Buddha.

We were defeated by the heat of Bangkok. So warm!!! We spent the rest of the day at a nearby shopping centre, our objective was simple - the AIR-CON! With the air-con, Sheneice can have a good nap while the rest continued shopping.

We met up at the exit of the shopping centre and Tua Pey brought all of us to a beauty salon for a beauty boost.

Taken outside the beauty salon. Daddy said must take photos of the building behind as they resemble the streets and buildings of Singapore in the olden days. We can show these photos to Sheneice when she's older, if not she won't be able to know how Singapore looked like.

After the rejuvenation, we "ta pao" our dinner back to the apartment, had a rest before settling Sheneice for her bedtime.

More to come...
