2nd Day in Ipoh and Sheneice's 2nd Birthday

Early in the morning, Daddy and I were awoken by the chickens. Since we had nothing to do and Sheneice was still sleeping, we decided to stroll down to the market to take a look. It was only 7 am in the morning, the market was already quite crowded. What time does these people wake up?!

The hawkers set up tables while the rest will just squat along the roadside for their business

The chickens that they sell are all live chickens, meaning to say the people who wants to eat chicken must know how to kill the chicken after they bought it from the market. Daddy said we can stay at the village after we retired, if that's the case, I think we can forget about eating chickens for the rest of our life.

Nai Nai bought 2 chickens for sake of buying :D

Thereafter, we went to have our breakfast. There wasn't any choice of breakfast at all, it's only "Yong Tau Foo" and their variety is super limited. Being the typical Singaporean, we chose quite a number of items for our breakfast which got the hawker flustered. Nai Nai said the people there are very thrifty, they only eat noodle with soup. No wonder, the hawker cannot handle us when we chose a few more items.

When we reached home after breakfast, Daddy's cousin rode his motorcycle and left it at Tai Gong's house for us to ride. In the village, we can ride around without wearing any helmets and squeeze as many people as we can on the motorcycle. Our only entertainment during our stay, the children enjoyed it so much.

I wondered how the people passes their time. Those who work can go to work in the day, those who doesn't will just laze around in the house, sitting at their doorstep fanning themselves. As for us, we really don't know how to pass our time, we ended up taking photo after photo.

Our "Wong Ah Ma" is so warm :D

4th September 2006, the day Sheneice turns 2. We had wanted to buy a cake to celebrate her birthday with her. However, there wasn't any bakery or confectionary in the village. The sweet Jie Jies made a birthday cake with dough for Sheneice.

And some longevity noodles too

The innovative Nai Nai made use of the mattress and made a slide for the girls to play

Sheneice, you are officially 2 years old now. You have brought so much happiness and joy to Daddy and Mummy for the past 2 years. We're so blessed to have you as our daughter who never fail to bring a smile to our face.

Happy 2nd Birthday, our sweet darling.
